I thought I ought to make a fanvid of my top (only) OTPs (of the moment, as I may end up with more OTPs to add to the list in the future, but for now this is it). There are a ton of Hiddlesworth/Thorki clips in here because I just made a fanvid for them not long ago and have hoards of clips on my Macbook. :D
I love the others just as much, but one would be impossible to get new clips from since the show is done ..and ..well, for those who haven’t seen Torchwood - GO WATCH and you’ll see my predicament. As for Nagron, I am very impatiently waiting for the new (and last) season of Spartacus (War of the Damned) to hit my TV in which I can [hopefully] see more Nagron.
I hope you enjoy this, because it took 2ish days to put together. :) I like when it switches to the next song the best, I think, because I had fun matching the clips to the music. (I’ll be super pissed if after uploading it it comes out slightly off for y’all on YT. *fingers crossed*)
Day 14: Is there anything wrong with showing affection to friends of the same-sex?
Absolutely not! It’s horrible that there are thoseo ut there who refrain from such things simply because they worry people will think they are gay. So what if they do? Being gay is not a bad thing, nor is it anything to be ashamed of, so that’s the last thing I would ever think about when hugging one of my girl friends or something.
Of course, girls can get away with the affection to each-other a lot easier because it’s been taught in this world that if you’re a man that that’s not cool or and showing you care to one of your closest friends is totally inappropriaite if that persion just so happens to be of the same sex. It’s absolutely ridiculous!
I would be hugging and kissing all up on my friends, if I had friends who were close like that, without a problem. Just because you kiss a friend on the cheek or give them a big hug doesn’t *snap* like that change your sexuality, for one, and for two, if people look at you funny or something - so what?! Affection is a good thing, and having a problem with it towards your same-sex friends plays into the gay thing in a way in saying that any same-sex contact along the lines of affection is prohibited and wrong so don’t do it. Whether you are friends or more than that, there’s nothing wrong with giving your friend a hug or a kiss.
I have a friend (he moved away a few years ago) who was very affectionate to everyone he was close to. That’s just how he was. He’s a completely straight male, and 100% certain of that, and has no problem hugging his buddies or just planting a kiss on the side of their heads or something just for the heck of it. All it is is an ‘I love you, man’ and nothing more than that, so he doesn’t see the big deal and fortunatley his friends are the same. That’s how they always greeted each-other; with a hug or a kiss on the cheek, and they had no problem with it whatsoever.
I love that, and I wish more men did that. I understand in this world, for some it takes courage to be that way, but if you do it anyway despite what people might think if they walked by at that very moment and saw you, that’s a big point-scorer for me. I really respect a man he doesn’t give a crap what people might say (perhaps a little because I don’t have that down pat yet xD), and it’s a really attractive quality in a guy ..well, in anyone for that matter.
(Here’s an example of what I’m saying. Mark Ruffalo and Tom Hiddleston (from ‘The Avengers’) at a promo event for the movie, waiting in line to head off the stage and Mark just decides to hug Tom for no other reason but to show affection to a good friend of his. It’s fantastic and super adorable! xD)

Your newest source in the Tumblrverse for the incredible, actor, singer, drop-dead gorgeous Scotsman - John Barrowman. John is most famous for portraying dashing leader of Torchwood, Captain Jack Harkness, but he also put out several albums and performed on stage. If you are new to the fandom and just discovered this beautiful man, I would suit up and prep to join the team of Torchwood; but I warn you, it's not a job you can quit. :-)
