Bisexuality sounds good on paper, sure. In real life, it is highly unlikely.
You can like what two opposite things have to offer, but there will be one you need and crave.

I’ve always identified as bisexual because I do like both. It’s not an equal thing though, because I knew I liked women way before I knew I also liked men, and I like women a lot more.
But I still definitely like both, that’s for sure!
I have seen this enough times for me to say something about it…

IT DOESN’T EXIST
Bisexual people don’t “get” to pretend they’re straight. Repressing such an important and intimate part of your identity is NOT a social advantage. On the contrary, it’s confusing, emotionally compromising, and lends itself really well to feelings of guilt and insecurity about one’s sexuality.
In short, having to pass as straight is something that plagues EVERYONE who identifies as LGB, and playing the “privilege” game is only going to cause more social strife.
Bisexuality definitely does exist. I am attracted to both men and women, and have known that I am for years.
I don’t say I’m bi. to reppress anything! I am honestly more gay than straight, as I’ve always liked women more, but I definitely do like BOTH! Not ashamed at all for liking women, but as far as the straight part of me goes, I am NOT PRETENDING.
